Hey I enjoy your videos ...their very educational ....I have a question that i have not been able to find a answer to from 2022 to 2023 the 835m tow rating increased from 2000 to 4000 ....what upgrades were done to the 2023s to acheive the 4000 towing increase ...thank you

The 835 series needs a flare on the rear fenders to keep the rear tires from packing the door seal, door handle, gas cap, and air cleaner with mud. I've bitched about this early on on nearly every review I've seen on these. And I still caution anyone looking to buy an 835. Just so you know JD just took a bed off an 825 and slapped it on a larger frame machine and the rear tires stick out past the bed. It's a cool look but functionality is a problem.

That said I bought my 835M for work and different people driving it and it gets the snot kicked out of it running pipeline right of ways. I've plowed an unbelievable amount of snow with it. I can't tell that the drive belt has worn at all. I mounted a Powertach plow from a 825 gator on mine and it works great.

The bighorn tires don't seem to hold up very well. I'm on my third set of tires and three of them have tubes in them. I think a lot has to do with the weight of the Gator and the pipeline right of ways have a lot of brush cut with a forester and they leave a pretty nasty tire eating stump. I need to get this tire situation figured out.

It's been a great machine for me. Don't think you're going to hang with a Ranger, or a General or any of those because they're two different vehicles. For instance a Kubota RTV isn't going to hang with the Gator 835. The 835 with an 80+ HP Cherry engine would be awesome.

For the price i can purchase a decent used car. I don’t know anyone that can afford one . Has anyone checked the prices on the big box stores that sell the john deere lawn tractors. You’re paying $3, 000 for the green paint and the name . John deer doesn’t make the lawn tractor that are sold at home depot and Lowes .research for yourself
