String Showdown: Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze VS Elixir Nickel Plated (Electric)

Welcome to the String Showdown! Here we will compare two pairs of acoustic guitar strings side by side so you can hear the difference. Each demonstration is carefully mic'd the same exact way in a controlled environment with a stereo pair of mik-tek c5 cardioid condenser microphones spaced at the 14th fret of the guitar. I am using a Taylor 812ce acoustic guitar for each example. No EQ or compression is added. The guitar tracks are absolutely clean. However, I did normalize each audio example but this only raises the volume relative to the loudest section of the example. So, the adjustment is uniform and relative. Now Throw on a good set of headphones and let's get to it!
