World’s Fastest Porsche Hits 227MPH | RIDICULOUS RIDES

A PERFORMANCE car tuning company has transformed Porsche’s top of the range 911 GT2 RS into a supercar capable of speeds of up to 227mph - making it the fastest 911 in the world. For 15 years, BBI Autosport have been the experts in high-end, off-the-market tuning. Starting with the factory model, BBI upgraded the classic 911 with a custom engine, larger turbos and an advanced cooling system. To buy from the showroom, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS typically sells for around $350,000 – but with this level of modification, this car would cost closer to half a million dollars.

I live in Germany and drive a 992 Turbo S - this car needs no tuning, accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.8sec and flies over 330km/h on the motorway without any problems. What is tuning good for?

Bone stock 2RS can scratch at 220 mph. Seems like not a lot of gain for the work that went into it. Although this car is WAY more powerful. Stock trap speed is around 168-169 mph in the 1/2, and this car broke 200 mph in that distance. It's obviously a lot faster, but 227 is nowhere near Vmax. I guess they mention they think it could hit 245 mph... I believe 240+, if they're truly making a lot more power (which they should be).
