Kind of gives vibes of the superior Danley SBH10. Very cool video!

when he spoke about compression drivers... "when you get close to rated output...40%-50% distortion" .... He's not wrong but when you consider that a 110w rated compression driver that's pushing 110db at only 1watt/1meter at under 1% distortion that's covering 350hz-20khz in a single horn (B&C DCX464), it's far less impressive. Kind of a pointless spec to mention. Any driver pushing near it's rated output is going to have extreme amounts of distortion.

My favorite project right now is Scott Hinson's Multiple-Entry-Horn (MEH) diy design. Basically a mini-Danley SH96 who's designed is solely focused on fidelity and not SPL (although it comfortably hits 93db at well under .5% distortion).

It's great to hear Tom Back's explanation on those new line sources -- actual engineering is an effective sales tool for some of us. Really looking forward to hearing more about those new amplifiers.
Also, I wonder why the room is so much better this year, despite Walter's statement that he used a similar setup -- are the new speakers just THAT good, was the room changed, or a combination of factors....
