Welcoming someone with folded palms is a part of the Sindhi culture. Bilawal being a Sindhi did what people in Sindh usually do while greeting each other.

*NAMASTE* is the most hygienic, practical diplomatic gesture of "welcome" standardised world over.

Fun fact : Sindh existed much more before there even was India or Pakistan and India is named India because British called Sindh as India and Mongols couldn't speak word "S" properly so they called Sindh as Hind and it's Sindhi culture to meet with every person holding both hands together which gives an impression and scenario like namaste ... Don't go ahead of yourself saying namaste diplomacy be a samajhdar

Actually Indian FM and FO are on the defensive. The shameful conduct of experienced J. Shankar speaks volumes about the nervousness, lack of diplomatic mannerism and shoddy attempts at flogging the dead horse of invented terrorism were at best a total flop. Ask any honest diplomat, he or she will give you a fact check. In diplomacy when you assume a defensive posture especially when hosting an event of this stature, it means you have lost it. Once again the RSS goons led Indian government has shown it's true colours. FMs of China and Russia are astute diplomats who witnessed the third rate conduct of host nation first hand while others must have noticed it.

Haha yes you can totally see the difference .. one namaste with cold face, one namaste with little courtesy but formality sake and third one with a smile and welcoming namaste …. This guy can even do great at acting, as he can show different expressions with same gesture

Indias fm perfectly demonstrates how an angry little insurgent kid behaves, when his toys are taken away from him

Huh? He meets a neighbor often so he does not greet him very specially. When it is someone you rarely meet, you greet them better. WHY ARE NEWS TELLING US WHAT TO THINK ??? Whoever is behind this, their own children will teach them the lesson they deserve

In the Hindu religion, there's a saying, "Namaste." It means "f**k you, I have anxiety. - Eric Cartman

Two countries bickering n posturing like street kids. It's time to embrace humanity and mutual friendship. Media is doing no favor by pouring oil on this fire of hatred n misplaced brinkmanship from both the sides.
