A 20-20 game (or, nearly) is impressive and promises much for the future. But even if Reese played that way every game the rest of the season it wouldn't be enough. Sky don't have talent to benefit from what she does on the boards.

Not a Reese fan but I will admit I kinda wished she would gotten 20 /20. Not an easy thing to do. I was so sad when Clark missed her 20/20 by 1 so I get it.

I don't think the Sky players & coaches are tanking, necessarily, they're still playing hard & hustling. But man, this roster is so poorly constructed for 2024 basketball. In 3 games since the Olympics, they've made 8 threes. EIGHT!! I think they're 8/44 in these games too. That's hideous stuff.

And the worst thing is that when the Sky don't shoot 3s, it makes life for Carter, Reese & Cardoso a lot harder, because defenses will collapse on them & they don't have a kick-out threat. Angel still almost getting a 20/20 game despite that, and on 50% shooting, I'd call that a near miracle.

I did watch this game. there is some drama going on with Chicago. one of the things i noticed is that they seem to have stopped passing to Reese up close to the basket. and Cardoso is getting more passes underneath than she was getting.
