I think he's misinterpreting what Embiid said about Harden. Embiid ain't stupid, of course he believes harden can help him win. He saw enough glimpses of how good they could be last season, playing with an actual point guard that commands double teams. As bad subpar as Harden was from his norm last season, he still got doubled often, and his arrival made Maxey way better. Embiid is simply saying Harden is not going to be dropping 27+ ppg and exploding for 50 anymore. Which is fine. An efficient 20+ ppg and 10+ apg is still elite, and Harden doesn't inefficiently in his sleep. This coming season he's got to improve his efficiency. But Embiid knows our role players and bench sucked and that's where we need to improve to be contenders.

Harden seems to be working hard this offseason so if we can get him to opt and get more pieces to surround this team, PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon, etc then we can still be contenders

They can win the whole thing if they can keep Joel Embiid healthy and fresh for the playoffs. Nobody in the nba can guard him. He only lost this past season because he was spent physically. Do the right thing 6ers… blow it up and build a proper supporting cast for this beast of a man!

What is this dummy in the glasses talking about when he said embiid laid it out by saying harden is not the same harden. HELLO HES NOT but that does not mean this version of harden is still not great. Hes just not the 36 points a game mvp harden he was in houston and even harden said that. By the way Embiid thinks hes the mvp of the league so its obvious he doesnt think harden is.
