This is honestly the best casting I've ever heard from Karim. He introduced some cool narratives in the begining (Pianfetti as giant killer, Szilagyi as the heavy favorite), he didn't say "buckle up it's fast and furious sabre time" or whatever, and he added some good hype near the end. Now we just need this performance consistantly and to give him a good duo (why is one person solo casting a world champs final?). Anyway still feels better than what I've seen in the past, so that's something!

Aside from that, amazing fencing from Pianfetti this day, I was really sad he didn't win but Szilagyi's just too good.

To get things straight, Áron Szilágyi has won a world championship, just not individually (until now). In a team bout with Zsolt Nemcsik, Tamás Decsi and Balász Lontay, the Hungarian team was able to defeat the French team, consisting of Vincent Anstett, Nicolas Lopez, Julien Pillet and Boris Sanson, in the final of the Saint Petersburg World Championship in 2007, when Áron Szilágyi was just 17 years of age.

Anyone with a better eye for sabre than me care to explain the difference between the touch at 12:30 and the final touch at 14-14? They look very similar to me. Is Szilaygi's arm that much earlier in the last one than it is on the touch they gave against him?
