Gibson Les Paul Special TV-yellow from 1957 presented by Vintage Guitar Oldenburg & Tobias Hoffmann

The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1974 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Electro Harmonix Freeze was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray, a Greer Amp Ghetto Stomp and occasionally the Origin Revival Drive.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

Sounds so much better than a Standard to me. I own a 1998 TV White LPS early Gibson Shop. Beyond great. Same sound at this 57 w a tad more bass.

I have a 2003 to go along with my 2001 Standard. Love it. Throw a Wampler Tumnus in front of my Orange OR15 and you have blues heaven. The Special have always been the most underrated Lesters.
