Once every year the British dance-music institution known as 'DJ Mag' asks its hundreds-of-thousands of readers from all corners of the world one very important question: "Who is the number one DJ in the world?"
Last year, when the lines closed and the votes were counted there was one name that caught everybody's attention, standing head and shoulders above the rest of the scene: Headhunterz. In a predominantly house and trance chart, being voted 36th best DJ in the world and taking the title of number one hard dance DJ in the world was an incredible achievement. But this didn't mean it was time to take things easy and just enjoy the success such an award brings. Instead, Headhunterz has been working harder than ever before. Not only has he attended every main stage of every major event for the past twelve months in Europe, Asia, Russia, Siberia, Canada, USA, Australia and more, he also launched his new podcast 'Hard With Style', which is already the number one downloaded hard dance podcast. As if that is not enough, he even found time to begin producing tracks for his forthcoming album and collaborate in the studio with other hardstyle heroes such as Zatox and Psyko Punkz.
Headhunterz' new tracks have been gaining massive momentum all over the world. 'From Within' became an instant anthem that has set many dance floors on fire; the video clip of his latest track 'Doomed' has become an unprecedented YouTube phenomenon racking up almost 200,000 hits; and, in recognition of his tireless work, Headhunterz picked up three awards at the recent Hard Dance Awards in the UK.
