1. Child bearing: This is God gift even if a man have more he may not father any child
2. sharing family chores: Each wife has a home and the home is complete and does not need any assistant. The man when is visiting that particular home he is 100% husband and father
3. Reducing single parenthood: Even married men do divorce and remain single while some choose to remain single

The issue of females having more than one husband was decided during creation and we were not part of it
I tell my daughters to know that we may be equal but male and female are not the same. Not that work for a men can work for a female. ( a man life is extended they can start a family at more than 50 years while a female may struggle after 50)
