You did not choose Rossi, but chose his hero, Schwantz. Great pleasure to watch this video, reminds me Alex Barros in 1993 at this track. It’s a shame he is not in this race, maybe he could do what he was not able to achieve on that year, his first on Suzuki, and second in the 500cc. After a poor start from the first row and going back to 9h, he started an unbelievable chase to the lead, overtaking in sequence Doug Chandler, Shinichi Itoh, Luca Cadalora, Deryl Beattie, Doohan, Crivillé, his teammate Schwantz and the current three times champion Wayne Rainey, and opening a huge gap. Unfortunately he made a mistake and crashed 3 laps from the end, in what could be his first win in a hell of a style, that came only on the last ‘93 race at Jarama.
