This is the first time I've seen this since watching it live in 1972. I was 11 years old. I'm 64 now. Can't believe it, lol.

Muscle of Love their last great album, even if Glen Buxton made himself minimally involved ... Alice going solo was devastating to this 12 yr old - a tragedy ... what the Alice Cooper Group did in 5 years wasn’t nothing short of miraculous & brilliant Easy Action / Love It To Death / Killer / School’s Out / Billion Dollar Babies / Muscle of Love — Absolutely Amazing, the precursor to Punk and All That Great Music That Exploded at the End of The Decade . The 70’s will always be that magical era of Rock Music, stunning

Saw this on tv when I was 12, living in BC, sneaking to watch the cable tv in the living room, late at night, cable was new then, praying I would not get caught and get My grandfather saw me and never told my mother to his credit. We will never see shows of this kind again, they were awesome. Alice was in the beginning of his prime period. Such a great performer, musically, and theatrically. Was able to see him later on for WTMN tour. Was a good show. Have loved Alice’s ability to be so impromptu, in any performance he gives. There will never anyone like him again. Have loved this man for 50 years.

Although distorted. This is the bands best performance of this song I've heard. Neal & Glenn were awesome especially. All 5 were but, Glenn kicked ass this night & Neal did not get lost in a very hard part of that song. The, solo. Amazing time & glad I was there.

Just finished Dennis Dunaway's book.
Great read.
According to Dennis, this was the real version and how the song was actually written.
It was Bob Ezrin that convinced the band that they needed a snappier intro in order to create a hit. The band however, decided that when they played it live, it would be the more moody, eerie intro. Bob was fine with that.
Personally, I love the live version.
This video is the absolute best.

This program was my mothers 1st time to see Alice Cooper ! hahahaa Let me back up a bit. Alice Cooper hit my hometown 6 months before this aired. I was still living at home and a broke high school student . Dad wouldnt give me any $ for a AC ticket, said " go ask your mom"...and I pestered her until she folded . For some reason she thought AC was a female violin/cello player.( Dunno know where she got that notion from) The tickets were $3 and she hands me 6 bucks with the stipulation that i take my little brother along for a little culture lol He was a trooper too ( when asked by mom " how did you like it" he said, ' i liked it mom and i want to see Alice Cooper again') he never spilled the beans , and i was the Devil after she got this glimpse of Alice. Until her dying day, i never heard the end of it. I should write a book, " The Woman who Hated Alice Cooper !"

This was the first song ever performed on ABC's IN CONCERT, I was 12 and Loving it to Death . Had my little Aiwa Cassette recorder in front of the TV . Grand Funk was the other band . Each act got 3 songs . The term 'Jam Band' had about as much relevance as 'Organic Produce' back then . Thanks for the trip down memory lane !

Seen the original Alice Cooper group live at Cobo Hall Detroit in1972 It was so exciting at the time. The band still

lived at the Pontiac MI farm. It was the best concert in my lifetime

I am now 57 yo and I have listened to this song since I sang it in several bands in my youth. I can honestly say I still feel the same way the lyrics describe. Amazing how life passes one by and inside in many ways one does not change. I am still a rebel inside. however, I have an MBA and BS in Business and IT. I never thought I would make it to my age.

My local TV Station cut this off a few minutes into it. They were too shocked to broadcast it.

I remember seeing this show when it first aired when I was 12.  I had never heard of Alice Cooper and was pleasantly shocked and a fan ever since.  It was a life-changing moment for me and was the inspiration for learning to play guitar.  Thanks for posting!
