On determining how much resin you need....i just watched another guy who poured a fine sand onto the work piece until the area is filled. Then he poured that off and measured the volume of sand. Worked great for him. ~P

Was looking for tutorials on epoxy inlays and the table top epoxy and ran into this gem. That table turned out fantastic! I want to try my hand at epoxy but I'm nervous... sink or swim right!?!

I may have missed it but what type of wood was this? Also what type of wood do you recommend that i use for epoxy inlay?

How does one calculate how much epoxy to mix for a surface area? (serious question) Might be a good topic for another video! Great project BTW! Cheers from Idaho!

Holy shite man. I mix fiberglass resin in the same exact cups. It has gotten surprisingly hot at about eight ounces worth but damn. Aggressive, you aint kidding. Good to know. I've been thinking about doing a project with resin. Fiberglass res has a yellow tint to it and I don't know if Lowes or HD sell the clear kind. Might have to Amazon it. Nice video man. Like your style. I prefer metal measuring spoons over the plastic white ones. Makes it easier to see the white when I'm measuriing.

Nick, you are freakin hilarious! "Yeah but did you die" 🤣 I really dig the details in this one! You just answered a bunch of questions for me, brother!

so would the table top epoxy be enough to lock the charring down then instead of using the penetrative epoxy?? i'm completely new to this so not sure which way to go....i like the effect on the legs of the table too and the math's was a good tip as well!

Nice build, I like the way you did the legs with only a bit being "well" charred! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Very cool! I have done some fiberglass projects in the past. I am now looking forward to incorporating the resins with some future wood project ideas. Thanks for the inspiration and idea. I really dig your videos. Keep on keepin' on! :-)
