Hi Mark glad to see you came back, we missed you!
As the owner of this Seiko i can say that i bought it in september 2003 and has never been serviced until october 2015 by Mark.
According to the serial, it have been produced on july 2002;
Yes it would have been cheaper to buy another one, but i couldn't resign myself to send a mechanical watch to the bin, only because of old oil.
not very green friendly.
I discovered the Watch Repair Channell a few years ago now, and i was very impressed with his work, and those quality (sound & pictures) movies.
i know he was the right guy.
I still wear the watch today...
Long life to this channel.

sorry for my poor english.

I took my SKX007 in for service today! 3 years new and running fast. Estimate 95 dollars. One year guarantee. I only hope my guy knows his stuff. Like this dude

I'm a mechanical engineer with a keen interest in watches and clocks. I have yet to strip and rebuild one. It just frightens me that id not get it back together with enough precision so it worked.
That said i have a few 7s26s around so youve inspired me.

Great video! I just bought myself the Seiko SKX173 with the 7S26 movement. I love watching your repairs, they are the best ones on the internet because their in HD & you describe clearly what you do. I have greater appreciation now for the complexity of my watch. Can't wait till part 3 of 3!

I didn't know 7s26 series has center wheel jewel. I have a couple seiko's with these movements. 10 years no complaints yet. Very good video.

I really admire the patience and precision you have to perform that job. Amazing.

Is it weird to love these videos even if you never really work on watches. I watch them to have a better understanding of the used market, and to see how they work. Just grabbed a Philippines one to tear down.

GREAT video... I always thought this 7S26 movement was "Bombproof"
I know my Seiko 5 Automatic has not been an ounce of trouble and has never been serviced.

Amazing how much ingenuity goes into a single mechanical wrist watch, even if it's not a $10k piece. Love Siekos.

You can buy these watches for under $100.00, if mine took a dump I think I'd replace it rather than sending it to Mark, that is unless it went to the moon and back. My take-aways from all his videos are many, but one thing I'll mention is his movement side manners. Watch carefully as he handles the screws and parts, notice how he handles everything. It's not easy to do. I always breathe (like before you would pull a trigger) before lifting stuff out to remain steady. I will never be as good as he is, and so it's stuff like that people should notice and learn. I have 97 14" X 14" ceramic tiles on the floor of my work room. I know that because I searched every square inch of every square tile looking for screws that were so small that I devised my own flashlight method of locating them. Maybe someday I'll be half as good.

Wonderful Mark. I have posted this over on the Urban Gentry watch forum on Facebook as there are many SKX lovers there.
