A computer that in many respects beats the ZX Spectrum (80 column mode, excellent mechanical keyboard, good graphics, much better sound) and an excellent BASIC. It definitely didn't become as popular as it deserved. Today I received an Electron from eBay, in perfect working condition, with a set of books, a power supply, and a cable for the tape recorder. The first impression is excellent - this machine is simply incredibly "cute". 🙂

Oh yes! My first computer and I remember writing my first bit of code that would send out morse code and then present a 3D version of the letter or number it had just output. Why Morse? Because that was the only real sound I could generate!! Little did I know that 9 years later I would change my trade and became a radio operator and needed to learn morse.

It would take so long to save and load the code to a TAPE RECORDER…….😂. Incidentally, I am almost certain I purchased mine in ‘83 from Dixons because it timed with a specific deployment I had at that time.

Had this in 1986. Snapper was the one and Frogger! Too many syntax errors unfortunately
