I am so happy to welcome author and wellness expert, Yasmine Cheyenne, back on the show to talk about her new book, _Wisdom of the Path: The Beautiful and Bumpy Ride to Healing and Trusting Our Inner Guide._

Yasmine shares her inspiration for writing this book (something I think many of you will relate to!), and we also talk about our creative practices, self-care (as recovering perfectionists), and so much more.

What I love about Yasmine's teachings is that she's focused on making healing easily accessible. I hope you enjoy this conversation with her as much as I did.

Terri this has hit home! ♥️ It takes commitment to set boundaries and the cost 💲 of doing this is losing people who never respected me from day one! Also job bosses; never respecting me from day one, but losing the jobs and navigating to self employment. I’m going through failure of my two businesses and having to navigate the shaming of people who see that I’m not taking their advice to get a “real” job but trying to navigate toward a better life under duress. Trusting myself through failure is tough! ❤

Back in my day my father left but he continued to pay for the home.
When I left my first marriage (he was going to abandoned my daughter and I in another state) it was my father who decided I would go back to get my bachelor's.
I had to use social services to make him reimburse them. He tried to leave the state, they garnished his wages.
After becoming an empty nester and getting out there with women I see how prevalent this displacement is.
When has it changed? It hasn't always been weak men. What happened in the 80's that created weak men who can't just admit it's over for them! This is a sickness in society.
