Thanks for sharing your setup young folks - your Hilux vehicle is tastefully equiped, not boganised and well looked after in the gorgeous ‘Red’ with a common sense approach - I had a 2002 Turbo Manual but eventually upgraded to a 2010 SR Hilux Turbo Diesel Auto with electric mirrors, windows, steering wheel controls and ABS - because I’m a retired Avionics chappie I’ve been able to buy and fully equip a new liftoff canopy complete with internal skeleton for around $6000 using Redarc, Amptron lithium battery, Engel fridge, Kings 1500W inverter setup and designed my own aluminium drawers/pantry for local country town metal fabricators - wired everything myself and carpeted/insulated whole shell - the 100ah Lithium setup has been perfect for my solo touring needs with stage 3 to come with a 24Zero RFT/270 awning/enclosure - yes of course I could easily spend $20k or more on a canopy setup but I’d rather that go towards my property which appreciates in value while I’m away - you probably already know that some Redarc inverters are actually rebadged/repainted Cotek inverters made in Taiwan but are apparently quite Ok for less than the cost of the pure Redarc product - I use the Redarc-built BCDC controllers made in South Australia because of their quality build - my cheaper Kings sine wave 1500W inverter has been faultless and met my budget criteria - safe travels 🙏🏻

A cargo barrier with access hatch in the middle might be useful for extra in-cab storage

Great tour of your Lux good to see the older ones getting good use, I am interested in how much your set up weighs with your GVM as I am on the same path. Cheers.

Nice rig mate. I bought a 98 2.7L petrol back in October. Stock as rock, absolutely love it. What upgrades do you think are an absolute must to do?

Quick question - do you have cruise control fitted to the Hilux? Do you remember which one you went for?

Hi, I'm interested in how you find the 8L Brassmonkey fridge for room in there. I have a 1KZ165 Dual cab and am concerned about how restrictive it will be when changing gears. I even mocked up a box to simulate the sizes and cant convince myself it will be OK.

What's your experience, is it a frustration or OK to live with the fridge there? Doing a Cape Trip next year and a second fridge would be handy.

G'day Guys 👋. You set works good for you want✔️✔️ l put some plugs for you two and pro-fab on different sites. Is that monkey is fridge and freezer?? And the booster airel is it for the UHF?? The Steel rims a win win 10 times better than aluminium 🤮. I get with my 80 series 13-14 mpl towing my off-road trailer on the cape trip 12000 ks from Melbourne. But l installed free-wheel Hubs save heaps on fuel. Pity yours drinks that much But a good 👍 setup 👌. Good how free you got the inside better than clutter. See you guys on the next episode ✔️✔️✔️. Stay safe😊
