I grew up thinking he was arrogant as a young fan, and didn't understand him, I was a die hard Messi fan, but as I have grown I began to understand him and understood that he puts in a lot to be where he is now as a player, he didn't have the talent, but made sure he attained skills that put him above everyone else, my idea of him changed. What has been sad to see is the English media brushing aside the loss of his child, and for someone who also lost a child through miscarriage in this year, Ronaldo's persistence to continue playing whilst losing his son gave me encouragement as my year started torridly, I am also a family man and support him, and feel that the club and the manager could have been more sympathetic towards him and not try to cast him out, as this was a crucial time to put your shoulder over player, since he had a traumatic experience, fans should always remember that players are also human beings
