Explore the historic Uppsala Castle in stunning 4K drone footage! Perched atop a hill overlooking the city of Uppsala, Sweden, this 16th-century fortress is a landmark of Swedish history and power. Built under the reign of King Gustav Vasa, Uppsala Castle played a crucial role in Sweden’s past, witnessing royal coronations, political intrigues, and even the infamous Sture Murders.

From above, you can admire the castle’s grand pink façade, the surrounding botanical gardens (Linnaean Garden), and the majestic Uppsala Cathedral in the distance. The aerial views capture the impressive symmetry of the castle grounds and its strategic location in one of Sweden’s most historic cities.

Filmed with the DJI Mavic Air 2, this footage brings Uppsala Castle’s beauty and history to life. If you love drone travel videos and exploring historic landmarks, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more incredible destinations from above!

As for the drone regulations: to fly in Sweden, one must have registered within their home European country and passed an exam in the A1/A3 drone category. As always, drone rules such as maintaining visual line of sight, flying no more than 120 meters in altitude, and never flying over crowds must always be adhered to. This particular area in Uppsala is near Uppsala hospital, therefore one must call the helipad beforehand to ensure that the airspace is clear before your drone flight.
