This is the absolute best performance of this prelude! Eric Lu captures the clockwork inner voices as well as the dramatic euphoria climax which happens twice (in the middle and the end)! Bravo!

It's taken 40 years for me to understand the peregrinations of this one single prelude . It seems meandering for so long as if Chopin didn't know where he was taking himself .That too is part of the message of this music .It was unsatisfactory for many years Cortot, Davidovich live in Los Angeles in the 1980's, Rubinstein, Argerich,Bolet,Perahia even Serkin is recorded from a recital playing these :all the great Chopinists I couldn't reachor really hear - and so many other recitals never made sense . Lu gets it and now I do too !
