Hi,
The language is always in continuous evolution, some words "die" and others appear. In my opinion, Many young people use slang to differentiate a bit from the "stablished" . When a word is usted a lot, we adapt It to our conversation and It becomes normal.
Some of my favourites are: bloody and loony.
Kisses from Barcelona.

* Alright! Now we’re talking advanced—lesson like this comes once in a blue moon. I’m tellin’ y’all, Mark’s book about phrasal verbs and idioms is such a catch. So grab a copy, it cost just a few bucks so it won’t hurt as much.

* Hey guys, you remember the lesson from the other day? It’s a gonna be an epic fail if we don’t catch that bus up to the city to buy some eggs. I gotta have a nice set of wheels if I should live at Skyview..😍

* Eight months of winter? You kiddin’ me, aren’t you? If I ain’t working out my butt on those time, I’ll end up as a couch potato.

*Yep, my homework is done and I call it’s a wrap. Once again, this lesson slay!😎
Till then, thanks Mark you nailed it, buddy !! 🤗🤗

Learning English for a few months through your channel, I've met the word SLANG and did not know what it means. Now I know, thank you, Mark! But I still can not be sure if something is an idiom or it's a slang. I'll keep studying, I need practice also :)

Formal, informal, humorous, sarcastic, archaic, rude, technical....these are the "register" aspect of language. It's difficult for language learners to reach a level where you can understand a foreign language perfectly, but being able to use that language like a native does in even harder. Speaking and writing are always more challenging than reading or listening. Years of immersion in that language and constant interaction with native speakers are perhaps essential. But for most people, complete mastery of a foreign language is not necessary anyway. Learning a language is a never-ending process; there's always something new to learn, and that's precisely the fun part of it.
