The cousin to this song is "Sitting in the back seat of my car" that Paul did a few years later...Actually he started that song in the Beatles around this time as well and its one of his best ever compositions.

This was all Paul. This is when they were doing a lot of solo songs on the White Album (The Beatles). Very few songs on the album have all 4 playing on them.

The Beatles were often humorous ... and even downright silly in the British tradition.
Some songs were indeed quite profound but more often they were not .
