It’s hilarious to think back to 1995 being the year I actually got into wrestling. I didn’t have the mind for critique back then but I do remember watching Mabel vs Nash and him winning with the weakest elbow off the top rope, and thinking “That’s it?”

If Kevin Nash is the better worker in the match you know its gonna be bad but seriously Nash seemingly worked better with oppnents who were smaller and better in the ring than him like his match with Bret Hart at Survivor Series 95 and HBK at WM 11 are examples of this

I was at this event. That’s me 0:35 in the pistons shirt. My papa Joe got tickets for my 10th birthday ..he’s on my right in the red flannel. We both hated Lawler 😆.

As an 11-12 year old in 1995, I lived and breathed WWF that year. Couldn’t get enough. I have nothing but fond memories of the WWF in 1995.

I think one of the most underated moments of 95 was the coming of Goldust. Such a joke of a character that proved to be one of the best characters at this time in many years. And I think he became one of the best in ring and his promo work was solid.

While I admit that 1995 had some really bad matches, like those, I don't think the mid 90s/New Generation era was as bad as some people claim it was and the Attitude era wasn't as good. Say what you will, but at least the New Genreation didn't have any necrophilia or old ladies giving birth to rubber hands with the in-ring action itself being only a by-product to a large soap opera.
