Man, I miss Bionicle... These Spider-Man figures look cool if you look at them like they are stylized figures, instead of judging their accuracy to a regular action figure. Just like LEGO minifigures, Funko Pops, etc, they're not supposed to be realistic, but rather a cool different way of representing a character. So I think it looks cool.

These look great to me! Bionicle will never be replaced but this looks like a good mix of System parts with Technic-inspired pieces

Woah! To be honest, these look great! At least they look better than Iron Man.

As for my thoughts for these being new constraction "replacements", no. What made old constraction (for example, 2001-2010 Bionicle) really fun is that they were typically quick to build and didn't require a lot of peices. These new figures use too many peices to be a constraction that everyone can enjoy.

I really want a revival of Bionicle. I loved that LEGO series, and I was heart broken when they rebooted it in a rather more basic direct, not only abandoning the story, but the design was simplified as well.

I miss Bionicle. I don't really like the iron man or either of these spider men. I am very anxious however to see how they do venom. I hope they give him a molded head rather than just a plate or tile with print.

I wish they'd do constraction proper again, like the star wars figures with new parts. The masked star wars characters all looked fine, so you could reasonably do a team of like

Iron Man
Spidey
Captain America
Black Panther
Etc

Personally don't like it, the balance of constraction + system leans too heavily on the system side, too blocky in general, and just lacks that mechanic aesthetic that pairs naturally well with mechanic joints which are inherent to these 'action figure' type of builds. And as mentioned, they should really try an original ip again instead of all the licensed stuff. Would be fun to see a constraction theme that is minifigure compatible (imagine exo-force x bionicle).

not the best aesthetic to be used on rounder, humanoid characters, but I think a system-based Bionicle reboot or an original theme with (bio)mechanical beings using this style of build would be soo cool


honestly, these marvel figures make me skeptical if lego is using them to test the waters and see if this style can succeed, so they can produce said themes

The problem with these compared to bionicle it there's thousands of marvel action figures available out there but bionicle was one of a kind

What the old constraction did better was that it was quick and easy to build and customize. While the new system is more "Lego-like", it requires way too many pieces. What lego needs to do is use the new SCCBS pieces and make new armor and joint type pieces. Something that makes building these kinds of sets easy to do and not require an instruction booklet.

i think my nephew will love this, he already loves the Iron Man one. I prefer getting a bunch of these compared to say the mechs we were getting

I got the iron man a few weeks back and I though it was very good for a brick built action figure, and personally I enjoyed it a lot. These Spider-Man ones don’t look as great as the iron man one did but it’s probably more of the face shape since the piece for that seems more tailored for iron man than to be used as a template for multiple characters.

The spider man figure looks actually pretty great, however the Bionicle is simply the best...

I think the figures would work if they are that big with custom molds for heads. I would buy a Sauron in this scale but not much else.
