In “Generation Why” we meet the highly imaginative Kamala Khan, a teenage fan of the Avengers coping with an invasive imagination and a family that wants to have her walk a more conventional path.

Never have we experienced a tv series like this one! What an Intro as we get surround by the many animations and imaginative powers Kamala instinctively exudes.

To her and to Bruno, she’s one of the biggest Avenger fans, mainly Captain Marvel fan, but her daydreaming is her immediate superpower.

And yet it causes chaos; as a young girl dealing with not being the cool girl, she also deals with her loving but demanding Pakistani family.

She is so determined to go to the very first Avengercon but when she fails her driving test miserably, she cant’ make a good case for her to be allowed to attend.

And so we enter a sort of teenage heist and getaway genre still guided by the now beloved Kamala and her best friend Bruno who also may have a crush on her.

Kamala’s family feels real in their set place, the cast, unites and plays off each other where if not for all the Avenger themed material, it would seem this is an authentic coming of age story.

Truly, now we enter into super hero realm when Kamala takes her Nani’s mysterious bracelet as an add on accessory to her Captain Marvel cosplay costume she hopes to win a competition with at Avengercon. And strange how her mother wanted to keep this bracelet stored away on the attic. Now when Kamala puts it on something in comes to life, a REAL superpower that reveals to her, to Bruno and to us that she is in fact a superhero…

This show has been like none other, and not just for its Pakistani family as the base of this girls story, but also because the grounded sense of our young hero makes us feel connected to everything she’s going through…

Bruno is so sweet. He literally spent most of his time working on Kamala's costume that he didn't have time to focus on his. That's why his costume was basically just a lab coat.. :3
