A cool video idea could be doing the most cost friendly way to post process 3d prints

A super helpful video for us newer designers would be a video that goes over how long each different method of smoothing prints takes, as well as cost. I love your videos by the way!

I've seen another guy's video where he just uses plain spray paint to fill the grooves, then sands it down smooth.

Look into "orange peel" effect. May want to invest in a compressor and a couple of spray guns. Better control over the flow, as well as the amount of thinner. Mirror finishes :)

My local hardware store on the US just got over 90 colors of Montana spraypaint, that stuff is so nice

If I wanted to sand all damn day till my hands hurt, I'd still be doing my last YouTube inspired maker hobby making knives.

Not to mention humidity will mess with clear finishes depending on the formulation. This is something called blushing and I have become painfully aware of it at my current job.

This spray putty seems exactly my speed to make it less of a pain to do. Probably still won't, but it does look much easier.

Warming the can in hot water and letting the paint cure in warm dry place helps with the orange peel

Both German Montana and spanish Montana (mtn) are the best spray paints. As a Barcelonian it's very cool to see our paints all the way down to Australia 😊 that remembers that I have to service my 3d printer, an Anet A8 which I learned a lot from you when I got it

Montana paints are the best, painted a mural with them once.

Could we maybe do a video doing the opposite? I love good layer lines, it's nice to see how it's made honestly, like a painting you can see the brush strokes. I'd love to see a video where layer lines and texture has a place.

I use 80, 220 and 320 grid sandpaper and I think it gets the job done pretty well

Montana are made for graffiti. The back cans - montana black are even made for bombing. They have more pressure makeing covering of large areas easier.

Thanks! I have been looking for a good automotive primer in Australia. All the other videos are in other countries.

Yes correct 100%. Never use the red putty junk. It’s trash and chips easy. Nice instructions 👍 sanding is the key. Lazy gets the chips.
