I was reluctant when I first saw the Ultra. It's humongous. Then I felt, in technology there'd be no innovation if we didn't try something new every so often. Now I have it on preorder. Also, trade-in really helped. Starting price $1100. Final price after trade-in, $500. Samsung is pretty generous with trade-ins.

Not going to lie, that keyboard case on the larger tablet looks really good! Really appreciate that it has function keys, part of the reason I didn’t go for Apple’s case and purchased Logitech’s Folio Touch instead.

I went ahead and bought one after playing with one for an hour. I got the Tab S8 Ultra, 16GB, 512GB, 14.6” version bought it because I’ll be able to stream OSX, Windows 11 and Linux applications using VMWares Horizon app. Triple AAA games, using the Xbox, Steam and Nintendo app, plus you can also use it as a normal monitor. So if you need another monitor for your laptop, S22 Ultra using DEX, it has you covered, very cool.

I wasn't too excited for the Ultra at first, but my excitement level is definitely growing. The new keyboard with glass trackpad and backlighting looks really nice, and having 2+ more inches compared to the S7+ for using it as a second screen for my galaxy book pro 360 is going to be epic. It brings me a great deal of sadness to part ways with my S7+ though, it's been a darn good tablet.
