It would be nice if there is some guidance or reference how to set up a new MySQL server in Docker. In the tutorial, an existing MySQL server is used wherefore we don't know the configuration.

Yes I agree, the "here's a sql server I set up before" trick isn't at all help-full and leaves me lost after attempting all other forms of install. Zabbix is now on my "don't go there list"

Why doesn't zabbix officially provide the best configuration for docker-compose?

would be great if you pasted the commands as text in the description

Got this working nicely so far, but when I want to run zabbix-agent2 as a Docker container (with --privileged) I get some weird results. CPU usage is based on container load, not server load. Disk usage gives the right numbers, but the mount points don't make sense. Instead of / (root) it's /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf. Process count seems to be limited to the agent container as well. Do you have any guides on how to use the zabbix-agent2 docker image to monitor your server?

I see the zabbix agent not running after installation, which is the best way to start the zabbix agent on docker platform?

Cool. Very short tutorial that should include more foundational steps like setting up the data base container, but even after figuring that out I could not get this to work. Zabbix Server MySQL creates the database with almost 200 tables, but every time it tries to start up after that I get:
cannot use database "zabbix": its "users" table is empty (is this the Zabbix proxy database?)
And so do a LOT of others around the net.

I wonder if there's a docker container for Zabbix 6 yet?

Why don't you use docker-compous?

With all due respect guys, the complexity that you added to this process, defeats one of the purposes of docker. There is little difference between this and a hard install.
