My name is Marina Burgener. I’m from Switzerland, I grew up in Geneva and I’m currently studying the Master’s in Real Estate, Finance and Hotel Development at Glion in London.

I previously did a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management; and afterwards I went into the workforce, and I worked for Intercontinental Geneva for three years in operations.

I chose the Master’s at Glion because it’s the only one at the moment that exists in the world that combines those three fields: real estate, finance, and hotel development. Also, because Glion is one of the top hospitality schools in the world at the moment as well.

We are being taught by industry professionals, so we’re getting the insight and input of people who know what’s going on in the workplace. This brings a lot of value to the Master’s – we get to see case studies that are based on something that’s really happening and are not just fictional.
