Casa Adelante Groundbreaking Ceremony

Mayor Daniel Lurie today broke ground on Casa Adelante – 1515 South Van Ness, a new, 100% affordable housing building in the Mission district. Located within the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District—which is intended to preserve, enhance and advocate for Latino cultural continuity, vitality, and community—Casa Adelante – 1515 South Van Ness will provide 168 permanently affordable rental homes, including 120 apartments serving households earning between 25% to 80% of the area median income (AMI), 42 subsidized apartments designated for families exiting homelessness, and five affordable apartments designated for low-income HIV positive households.
