It's not just a digital watch... it's a smile generator.

I was in 5th grade, everyday at noon I go to the school roof, when the sun is in middle of the sky, to hear my melody casio sings the big bin tune... And that feeling I will never forget.... I love the 80s.

Good work! I bought this from new, but with the black plastic case and it works just fine today.
The watch can also display the time in 24h format. The tunes are:
Daily Alarms
Mo: American Patrol (F.W. Meacham)
Tu: Santa Lucia (Italian Folk Song)
We: Romanza de amor (Spanish Folk Song)
Th: Marche Royale (French Folk Song)
Fr: Kalinka (Russian Folk Song)
Sa: Sakura Sakura (Japanese Folk Song)
Su: Moments musicaux (Franz Schubert)
Time Signal: Big Ben
Date Signal: Wedding March
Birthday: Happy Birthday
Xmas: Jingle Bells
I sent you the user-manual.

New to the channel and just saw this video suggestion. Its midnight so I've added to my watch later (see what I did there) list. I used to have one of these when I lived in Saudi and I LOVED it! Sadly long gone.

What a memory. 1981 6th grade. A school friend had one and I thought it was the coolest thing. I bugged my parents enough that I finally got one for my birthday! My black model got a lot of attention. Wish I still had it. Thanks for the video!

Keep the digital watch content coming!! One day I will need to invest in learning more about fixing watches. Huge part of the hobby I’m missing out on

Great video. I have one I bought new as a teenager with my first pay packet. You just prompted me to restore it (half done). 👍

I had this exact model!I miss it so much! It was one of the coolest gadgets for a younger person in the 80s... I was 20 then.

I had one of these - the black version. They were cool. Made a lot of my classmates laugh.

I just picked one up. I’m having trouble getting the back case off. Glad I found this video! Thanks!!

Brings back memories. I had one of these back in 1982. They were almost "disposable" in a way that my mom, rest her soul, would notice if mine was getting worn out and then she'd surprise me with a Casio Swordfish. That was my next one.

Hi! Thanks so much for making this video! I actually just picked up one of these watches (with guitar and 3 speaker holes, m-321) in great condition from a thrift shop for $10! It wasn't working, and I had never opened a watch before, so your video was a great help. I replaced the battery, but it still didn't work. Pressing the buttons didn't work either. I poked around and found out that there is an AC reset point. Jumping that to the battery did the trick. Fortunately I had a gasket and it is very clean inside.

Thanks again for documenting this!

I must have had one of these. Those rising two notes as you cycle through the features is burned into my mind.

Been watching your channel and you have inspired me to start a collection and buy watches to restore following what you do. Saw this and remembered i still had the first watch my parents bought me in the early 1970s...a red LED CBM time digital...a bit of a search through a couple of boxes and there it was, going to get a couple of LR44s tonight if i can and see if it'll live again! How to make a 57 year old feel 7 again.... 😂

Back in 1980 I fell in love with this watch, it was in Boots on a board where you could play with it and listen to the alarms, left school and got my 1st job in 81 where I saved £25 and bought it - 1 year later after my YTS job finished I got a job in a bakery, whilst making meat pies, I noticed the top strip where the speaker is - was missing? Obviously went in to a pie, so after that, I took it to pieces and painted the reflector with yellow fog lamp paint, a bit like nail varnish set up... a long time later, I still have the module with the speaker glued on - where the case went is anybody's guess? lol... 41 years later I can still go upstairs and pick the fully working module up minus the battery - with a yellow screen lol :)

Wish I still had mine. My grandfather gave it to me when I was little and it got me hooked on watches. Was my first watch.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I never had one of these but I remember wanting one. They were the iPhones of our generation (1972).
