About a year ago, @8wxxx and I started working on trying to make this a reality after he found a way to use the glider to get over the invisible wall to get into the parking lot. Unfortunately, it was thought to be impossible to actually enter the parking lot section to be able to recreate the Mario Kart Wii Ultra Shortcut... at least until now

Also yes this is an april fools joke but don't tell anyone shhhhhh

Now that April Fools is over, here's some further clarification:

The only thing modified to make this is the checkpoints. The way described in the description to reach the parking lot is actually real, and all of that area is considered to be driveable in the base game. However, the checkpoint system is different compared to Mario Kart Wii, which prevents this from being a reality in this game. So all it took was changing the checkpoints to mirror how the game would function with a checkpoint system more similar to the one in MKWii

Maybe in the future i'll release a video of a compilation of Ultra Shortcuts that would be possible in mk7 if the game had mkwii's checkpoint system :)
