When crypto is adopted and mainstream why would anyone want bitcoin? Its expensive and yes even lightning network. Try and pretend bitcoin was mainstream and you never bought it before. Then go to a bitcoin atm and buy it. Its expensive and takes 15-60 minutes to confirm. Now that its confirmed go and try and spend it. Well if youre lucky the price didnt drop and if you are even more lucky find a store that accepts it but to convert it into fiat will cost another fee that merchants dont want to pay. Its simple. This is even if the network isnt overloaded. So if it serves no other purpose other than a store of value then its nothing more than a ponzi scheme. I have no desire to buy $100 worth of bitcoin and hope it reaches $150k.
