Former Vice President Joe Biden criticized President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic during the final presidential debate held on Oct. 22, saying that "anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America."
As president, Biden said, he would make sure everyone is encouraged to wear a mask at all times. "I would make sure we move in the direction of rapid testing, investing in rapid testing. I would make sure that we set up national standards as to how to open up schools and open up businesses so they can be safe and give them the wherewithal, the financial resources to be able to do that." He added that he "will take care of this. I will end this," Biden said.
More than 222,000 people have died from COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center. The debate took place in Nashville, Tennessee, with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.
