Intex Pool Skimmer Has Helped My Pool

I've recently purchased an Intex Pool Skimmer and I have to say. I love this little contraption. Simple to use and really helps in my case to catch a lot of surface debris. An above ground pool can be tricky to install a surface skimmer, but with this little gadget, no cutting is required. I give a give overview of how it works and attaches before you buy.

I bought one for my pool and it cleans great! At first I was skeptical but after I installed it, it cleaned out all the little bugs that were floating on top. And the best thing, no cutting into the liner.

I bougt one last year, but I have a small pool, like really small 3 by 2 meters. I never got it to work properly the hoses were pushing it up. I have now bought a skimmer to build into the wall of the pool, and even though that migh seem to be overkill for such a small pool, I have hopes it will be better.

I just bought an Intex 18" x 9" and am leveling the ground. For those that have this type does having this inside the pool cause issues from the kids playing? I have a 3 and 6 year old and am concerned about them hitting it or the hose. I've looked at the one that you cut a hole in the pool and even though that freaks me out a bit, it seems like a better option than it being inside the pool.

Would I just leave the hoses for the intakes as it with the plunger valve between them?

So you have to have 2 inlets to use this? Did I understand that right?

How about if you have a sand pump would you need to block life that second inlet?

I have a 12x30 with the 1500 pump (i just ordered) would I need to plug one of the inlets? If so how do do that? Thanks!
