This is how most arcade games and mobile rhythm games in japan have always been so it’s been a long time coming

No wonder I don’t get that much higher on the leaderboard even though I played most songs flawlessly

That's when offset/latency becomes your best friend.

and then some charts have a strange timing which makes it harder to hit perfects no matter your calibration settings

Tetris: When the skill ceiling is so high they break the game.

Honestly this is a good informative video, i was wondering why i wasn’t scoring as high on the leaderboards even though ive pathed and 100% a song. Sounds like i need to get my calibration to be extremely precise and well.. git gud i guess lol

Honestly makes me wonder if I should keep playong CH or just swap to YARG entirely to get used to the new timing system

Cool video 👍 but i still hate the way of the lift notes, sometimes they work sometimes they don't

I’ve been wondering ever since battle mode dropped if there was a difference in points there. Noticed even while hitting every note and not getting hit others still stay ahead. Wasn’t sure if it was actually a points thing or potential just latency. But +6 points would do it

It’s almost like osu mania and etterna and step mania have done this for ages. Crazy right?

it feels more like rng because of the perfects i dont like this method of increasing the skill ceiling i like the large quantity of notes instead its more fun this way in my opinion

So it's not a new mechanic at all. It's just a harder version of the base game.

Instead of hitting the note at the right time... You have to hit the note at the right time, but the window is smaller ...

This is literally incorrect information, guitar hero has had this since GUITAR HERO 2 😂 okay so fortnite made the timing window to get a perfect tighter. That is the ONLY difference 😂 every guitar hero game since GH II has awarded extra points for hitting perfect notes 😂

What? Are you crazy? If the real musician was 1/20th of a second for any amount the whole piece would fall apart. Keep in mind that a musically trained individual can differentiate between 16ms with almost 99% certainty, so being off by 40ms and that being "perfect" is an absolute joke. These guys playing these games actually think they did something by achieving a "perfect" hit, meanwhile everyone watching them thinks Ooof that was off, that was horrible, meanwhile the game doesn't punish them for it LOL and spells out PERFECT and all that. Just like any other game this is just a dopamine trap, it doesn't mean you did anything perfectly, it just wants you to play more and probably buy songs and skins and everything else. Wake up if you thought 50ms wasn't extremely lenient to the point where you just want people to feel good not actually care about any kind of timing. Because consistently being 30ms off makes you perfect in this game LOL, imagine that.
