I might be an outlier but cross-play is not that important to me if I'm getting God of War quality games yearly long as PlayStation delivers on that front I don't care about cross-play and playing Madden versus a guy on Xbox

Sony didnt buy Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Guerrilla Games when they were already huge, they bought them when they were small and worked together and now all 3 are powerhouses.

Phil buying studios left and right doesn't impress me in the slightest.

I had a 360 last generation because of exclusives like halo and gears of war, among others, but this generation I got the ps4 only because I knew a god of war was coming this generation and I’m so happy I did because I was able to get games like Spider-Man and God of War and I’ve had so much fun with it so exclusives do matter, I hope Xbox can turn it around next gen

If Sony wants to dominate the next gen, BC is absolutely mandatory and they need to dial back the censorship on Japanese anime games if they want to grow the customer base in order to compete with Nintendo and Xbox.

"Cockyness in the ps2 era" there was cross play on FFXI online between PS2 and PC. There was also mouse and keyboard support.

I hear everyone talking about crossplay but a majority of console owners are casuals they don’t know about it, i guarantee a ton of people still don’t know what “game sharing“ is !!

Thanks for recommending Dragon Quest XI Brian, it's because of you that I've been playing it nonstop for the past week and loving every second of it. Perfectly fits my tastes and introduces me to the franchise that I was so hesitant to jump into even though I'm a pretty big Final Fantasy fan.

Im a Strictly SinglePlayer Multiplat Gamer who obviously mixes it up but I did play God Of War and Detroit Become Human (awesome games) and Im consistantly impressed by Playstations games so I play the Console quite a bit.

There's no doubt that Sony was killing it with exclusives, even if you're not into these types of games, you can't deny that they have release multiple great single-player games. Microsoft is going to do better for the next gen but honestly I don't think it will get to Sony level, I hope it does, because competition is always great. With more competition it drives developers to do better each time, not saying that the Sony exclusives hasn't got better, because they definitely have
