Very nice video about a nice aircraft. I think it participated in one of the Indiana Jones movies.

The Czech factories AVIA and LETOV from Prague did not produce this aircraft because it was "such a fantastic aircraft" but because production took place during the war and these factories in Prague produced more than half of all existing aircraft. So there was a well-established production line with experienced personnel available. Why not continue after the war? Out of a total of 2891 aircraft, the home company ARADO produced only 224 aircraft including prototypes.
