not sure if it was mentioned. freeze target can be applied to smite. which cancels out
knockback

Currently using an eth sacred targe with +33res on my Exile. Also have an upped eth HoZ on swap. Both seem to work well. Great vid!

Smite is the most broken crap ever, but so many people rely on it that it'll never be nerfed! Personally I don't know how I would've beaten Lilith alone without it. That (broken-ass) situation aside, I think Smite is just too powerful.
So I propose this: let's see Bash and Stun get defense status, if anyone deserves this it's the Barb!

I've been meaning to suggest a series on character builds with only budget gear and/or equipping not the hardest uniques to find.
It'd be nice to see if a werewolf or werebear summoner Druid is viable without expensive runewords, for example. Also which builds could run Uber Tristram on a budget.

You didn't talk about aura interactions with smite. Also, does the increased damage on butcher's pupil work or not. Since it is cannot be destroyed, it might be pretty good with smite.

I actually managed to kill some physical immunes in Hell Difficulty with an Oath weapon by smiting them, causing the Bone Spirit to trigger and hit them, and continued until they finally died.

You could say charged strike also always hits so the lass has 3 of the 4.

Just started building Paladin fr the first time a week ago or so, one in ladder, and one that i had made about one month after launch, because of the sheer amount of cool paladin items i found 🤣

I already did the non ladder quite easily, because of the good gear reay to serve, but the ladder one is a bit lacking at the moment...
The ladder one was holy fire with charge through normal, because i found a kinemil and a hexfire on my ladder amazon, and that was no issue, save for a Mr Dibablo who seemed a bit obstinate :)

Went well through NM for a good while, kept building holy shield and smite, and then defiance for the defense buff. Plan was to make a Uberslayer, so i could finally rack up a few anni's in the near future. When the skill functions, everything is easy peasy, but a lot of times, i find that both charge and smite, often just bug out? Maybe im doing something wrong, but the stuns and knockbacks often just don't happen. Is there a minimum distance which you need to be away off your target? Usually when it doesn't work im nose to nose with some monster...

Hey mate. Would a Beast Runeword (Fanaticism) with Convinction as main skill help? Because I want to build a switch pala (1 side, hammerdin, 1 side smiter) and put full points in Hammer skill and its synergies and 1 point in smite and skills that I have left to use the switch version of my pala as a smiter when necessary.

Enhanced damage jewels in say armor work to increase smite damage. Why would enhanced damage to demons/ undead not work?

i think Smite is more equipment dependent. Im having some difficulties to surve at lvl67 with no good equipments.

so On weapon ed doesNOT work but off weapon ed DOES work?

You said that enhanced damage on the weapon does not work with smite. What about socket the shield and add a ohm rune? My guess is it wont work but would rather not experiment with my ohm rune?
