Today we look at a Kickstarter DIY keyboard project by Chris Dimino. It's a fairly unique take on the custom keyboard scene that I think is well-worth covering; hope you enjoy the video! :)

It's such a quiet typing experience. Heck that's quieter than a decent scissor switch! This might be my dream keyboard.

In fact, I'd probably be happier eating waffles than spending $300 on a 14th keyboard I'll only use for a week.

The mouthfeel is the best of any keyboard i’ve tried. I swapped in some Gateron Glorious Golden Syrups, was not disappointed.

You can fix the yellowing with food dye.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't think you need the case foam. It's a little too silent. Personally, I would have gone for some MX Choc Chips. They're a little stiff but if you melt them beforehand, it becomes really comfortable with the blueberry keycaps. And they take well to lube for those who enjoy that.

Reportedly, there's a version that comes with an extra tool that allows you to convert it into a *split keyboard* ...

(I think they called the tool a "knife" or something — that got me confused.)

I can assume that for you, the typing experience on this keyboard must have been alot better than the smith corona leaf spring keyboard
