Moto G2 Screen Replacement Tutorial - Fix by yourself

Is Moto g2 LCD broken or the touch unresponsive? Fix it yourself now! The video will show you how to replace Moto g gen 2 LCD screen step by step.

0:05 Step 1 Power off
0:10 Step 2 Remove back cover (It is easy to remove from the charging port by fingernail or guitar pick.)
0:15 Step 3 Remove 14 torx screws by T5 torx screwdriver. (Tips: The screws come in two sizes. Don’t mix up them.)
0:19 Step 4 Remove back housing (It can be removed easily after releasing screws.)
0:25 Step 5 Take away power and volume buttons (So easy)
0:29 Step 6 Release LCD screen connector
0:40 Step 7 Separate screen from front housing
Start from the bottom. Heat up it at 150°for 3 minutes.
Heat up left side at 100°for 1 minutes.
Heat up again if it can’t go on.
Release right side in the same way.
Heat up the top at 150°for 2-3 minutes.
2:16 Step 8 Install new LCD with digitizer
You need a new front housing adhesive sticker to combine the screen and front housing.
2:55 Step 9 Put power button and volume button back
2:59 Step10 Put back housing back
3:02 Step11 Put 14 torx screws back
3:05 Step 12 Install back cover

Adhesive sticker: I spent some hours trying to find a good explanation about how to use the sticker. I did not find it and adventured to use just the frame (border) of the sticker. It worked nice. I peel ONLY the border side adhesive, stick it, and found the way to cut and waste the broader internal side of the adhesive. The spare screen has a blue/green film that I had to peel before placing the screen in the frame. A piece of video would be worth.

Hello, my gf has a broken glass and I would fix it for her. I have 3 questions for you:

1: Hair dryer: which distance to have from the phone, for how much and how can I know, if the temperature is too much or too less?
2: Do I need UV glue or something like that? I say that, because I saw there was glue on the sides, when you used the tool
3: You wrote that we need an adesive sticker. If I use it, do I still need glue? Why should I use it exactly?

please tell me if lcd + screen touch digitizer can work properly before sticking it to frame. what I mean by that is if the connection is complete. I have a white screen only, don't know if I bought a faulty lcd, or should also stick it to frame for complete connection.

Hey there, your video is great I mean it's well explained and straight to the point without wasting time! My Moto G2 touchscreen is actually acting weird, every time I unlock it the lower left part of the screen starts to detect touches and begin to "press" itself. It's a second hand phone and I suspect glass has been replaced before so, what should I do? Thanks in advance!
