brsk just installed this router. and so this video was super helpful. especially since he kindly left me no information about the router what so ever! I have a couple of things that if you could shine a little light on would be great. how do I disable the firewall? and also what is the control page system it references on the bottom of the manual?

So I have disconnected my computer old router and put this new one in which our ISP sent to us. The box turns on and has an orange light most of the time, otherwise there are some green lights flashing like it does on the usual router.

It’ll connect to my phone briefly which will then go into a set up function but I don’t really know what I’m doing here so didn’t look into it too much.

So instead, I just replugged the old router and now the old internet connection is on most of the time and up to usual speed but at times it disconnects. Often it’ll say it’s connected but there is no internet.

We don’t have fibre connected to our property but I’ve been told that this fibre router will still work (not sure about that), but is this the reason it won’t work?

Or do I have to request a Win IP address? I’m not really sure how to do that. It does say on the internet if I disconnect for a couple of hours my win IP will reset and can go from there.

I have a slightly different model, just delivered. I have a question that probably applies to all models, including the one here. There are two cut outs for wall hanging. All well and good, but there are no cut outs for the wires. Unless you channel the wires through the wall it is not possible to fix to the wall. You could make a box and do it that way but am I missing something or is this just a bad design?

What mesh system would you recommend with 1gb fttp? Ive deco m5's but their throughput is slow and not getting anywhere near 1gb upstairs

I'm just about to change providers due to my current providers contract ending with city fibre. Its toss up between No one network who offer this router or Zen that offer FRITZ!Box 7530 AX Wifi 6 Router.

Which you think best?
Both have good customer service, both have 900mbps within price range.

About to move to a full fibre connection from VM. They're including this router in it. What's the performance and configurability of this router like? I've had terrible experience with VMs Superhub3, being very slow and locked down. Couldn't even change DNS server on it.

I'm on my 5th one of these now. Had 2 with EE cos they kept failing and I'm now on my third with Utility Warehouse.
They're absolute garbage.

Why don't you take the time to work out what all the markings and codes are before you try to make a video explaining it? If you at least understood the difference between the admin configuration pw and the wifi pw you would not look so stupid.
