So beautifully restored 😍. Did you know this bike had a freewheel arrangement to do away with engine braking? This it did because oil in a 2 stroke engine was premixed. This meant cylinder lining would be devoid of lubrication during engine braking and damage the engine.

Remember a few locals in Northern California having off-road Jawa cycles when I was a teenager in the 1970's. They always drew attention, as you didn't see many Jawas.

Love the deep tone sound and low reving of jawa 2 stroke engine's, it's unique even to 2 stroke's.

This was a popular Motorcycle in INDIA in 1960's - early 1970 and was replaced by Yezdi 250cc.  I think this motorcycle is the brother of  CZ 250 from old Czechoslovakia
