My mechanic was repairing the hatch, got nommed by a crawler and then decided his purpose is now to fistfight the broodmother outside the hatch.

There’s this one bot that me and my friend had that was the spawn of Satan himself. This mechanic called Mitchell would purposefully leave parts of the submarine broken, but the instant he detected that one of us was outside the hull, he would be there to patch that hull in record time every time. The last thing he’d see is our horrified face yelling out his name in desperation and horror before what ever god awful creature was tearing the hull apart.

Or a broken device in a shuttle. However, I think if you hit them with a melee weapon or toy hammer they'll reboot.

Broodmother took a chunk out of my ship, after severe repairing work I decided to jump out and finish it off myself. Immediately after exiting, the bot welds me out of my own ship and I get mauled Immediately with no escape. He got his pay docked.

Our crew uses the herja as well and I’m always the one who has to fix that hatch not because I’m the mechanic, but mainly since I’m the only one who doesn’t get sucked out or get eaten while fixing it. Can’t let amateurs do a professional’s job

I just tell the AI to shoot turrets and keep the repairs and steering for myself (and occasionaly some expendable assistants).

My god, Fixing a broken hatch is damn annoying because every time you try to get it patched up you either get blasted back by a jet of water and have to start over or the gunners decide to let one mudraptor live THATS RIGHT NEXT TO THE HATCH
