2024 I have this camera. I found a great Minolta lens deal for it. I use this camera and still make money with it. I've shot all my kids sports with it, videos, baby pics, birds, you name it, this camera does it well. I really don't see myself getting another camera anytime in the near or mid future.

I bought the Sony a65 shortly after it came out. Much later I bought the Sony a6000, with the fantastic G 18 - 105mm, constant F4 telephoto lens. which is a great camera; however, I've returned to my a65 because it produces better photos for me. The color its better and the detail does not look over worked digitally - looks more nature, almost like a film camera. So now I am selling my a6000 to buy more lenses for the a65.

Man every time I'm in the market for a particular camera you always have a video but not one in stock lol. I just picked on of these up to compliment my a390 for my nature photography. Looking forward to using it with the Tamron 70-300 I picked up off you a couple weeks ago.

These A-mount cameras, at least the ones with 16+ mp, are fantastic budget cameras for people starting out these days. many lenses to choose from and plenty of features considering their age. I'd take these chonks over Sony's early mirrorless cameras any day.

Great review. I have one of this. Anyone know why I have to set Area/Date/Time every time I turn the camera om?

Some spec sheets say it can do 60p and I have seen some people using that on a video. My camera only shows 50p. Are there some regional variants or am I missing some setting?
