some variety of ideas.
Development: All of the responses are relevant. Most points are clear and include some
development.
Pronunciation: Pronunciation is quite clear though intonation is only sometimes used effectively to
convey meaning.
Part 2 Short talk
Grammar: A sufficient range of grammatical structures are used. Although there is some
inaccuracy in complex structures, this does not impede communication.
Vocabulary: The candidate uses a reasonably wide range of vocabulary with enough precision
and accuracy to discuss a variety of ideas.
Development: The candidate’s responses are well-developed covering the card requirements.
Communication is maintained with ease.
Pronunciation: Pronunciation is clear and intonation is quite frequently used to support meaning.
Part 3 Discussion
Grammar: A range of simple and complex sentences are used. The errors are quite rare and
generally don’t impede understanding.
Vocabulary: A wide range of vocabulary is used accurately and precisely to discuss a variety of
content.
Development: Overall, responses are sufficiently well-developed, and communication is
maintained with ease. Some responses are stronger than others, which limits this to a lower mark
in the level.
Pronunciation: Pronunciation is clear on balance, with errors very rarely impeding communication.
