A very useful demo.
Just to add..
Because a microphone detects the variation in air pressure at a point and not the variation in the displacement of the air particle at a point,
hence what are labelled by the tapes in the demo are Pressure Nodes, which are Displacement Antinodes and not Displacement Nodes.

Great video. Really cool to see the physics concepts in action!

Omg! thank you so much Sir for this video...You just saved my PChem research!! God bless you!

It's more fun if before he reveals the measurements you calculate the expected distance. I used my calculation from experiment 1 to predict the 39cm in experiment 2

What type and model of microphone are you using for this experiment?

If you didn't know the speed of sound to start with, how would you work out which frequencies you would get standing waves at?

Please, could you explain where is the sound comes from?
The Origin of the sound?

what frequency are you using and how about speaker volume size I tried in glass tube with small speaker low sound got resonance but no balls dancing can you help

Is it possible to generate electricity from soundwaves

what equation we using to find the speed?

so, if I understand this correctly... there is not one single frequency but rather two? a sin(something)*sin(something else)?

no wonder people have no idea what resonance "is."
