Audi's flagship SUV, the Q8, has officially arrived in India with its facelifted version after being globally revealed last year. Our host takes you through the refreshed model, highlighting what makes this premium SUV stand out in a competitive market.

Sleek Design Updates
While the Q8 retains its iconic silhouette, which fans love, it now boasts fresh elements to enhance its appeal. Expect a striking new Sungold colour, revamped LED taillamps and headlamps with animated sequences, and redesigned grille, and front and rear bumpers. The alloy wheels sport a new look, and here is the best part, the exhausts at the back are real, not fake!

High-Tech Interior
Inside, the Q8 keeps its luxurious vibe with three screens, including a virtual instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system. A third screen manages the 4-zone climate control, ensuring comfort for all passengers. Audi's technology-rich cabin makes every journey feel premium.

Performance and Engine Options
Globally, the Q8 comes with several engine choices, including petrol, diesel, and a V8 for the SQA. But in India, you will get a powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This delivers power through the legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system. With 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, this sporty coupe SUV is all about performance. However, it lacks the adaptive air suspension available in global models.

Comfortable Ride Quality
Even without the adaptive suspension, the Q8 rides beautifully, one of its standout qualities. The backseat is surprisingly spacious for a coupe SUV, offering ample headroom and legroom thanks to the clever design based on the Q7. The ability to move the rear seat for added comfort is a plus, though the seat cushioning could be improved.

Pricing and Rivals
In India, the Audi Q8 is available in a single variant, priced at Rs. 1.17 crore (ex-showroom). Its competitors include the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the Lexus RX. Among these, the BMW offers the most affordable option, while the Lexus RX tops the price chart at Rs. 1.21 crore.
Is the Audi Q8 the ultimate luxury SUV for you, or do you prefer one of its rivals?
