Caprice PPV Auction and Price

I inspected a 2013 Chevy Caprice PPV in the 9C1 spec that was being sold through GovDeals. The auction for this car closes in just a couple hours and the bidding has already been robust, but the condition of this car seems to warrant it. Join me in a tour of this car to come up with a fair max bid amount would be as well as what the final selling price was.

I’m sorry you did not get that one Chris. Unique color, low hours and appeared to be in great over all shape. Someone scored on that car. Love the videos...keep them coming...glad the warmer weather brought you back.

Thanks to you I was able to buy my dream car, a 2004 Crown Vic in a public auction in Utah. Thank you for all the tips and videos, keep it up.

You are a way more principled bidder then me, I can get auction fever fairly easily. You seem to always have a hard stop, which is commendable for sure !

Miss your videos. Used car market is crazy right now. I unloaded an 08 P71 with 136k excellent shape for 5250. Turned around and bought an 11 Impala 9C1 with 125k for 4, 000. Paid a bit more than I wanted, but it’s really clean. Keep the vids coming!

I was checking this out too. I have 2011 2 tone caprice with 93k no issues with engine. Might paint it a black. And put wheels. I have daily 2004 suburban blk z71 which is my baby, ive put alot of work into it. The difference i like in 2011 vs other is the bumper has cool insert.

That price is about right - for the market right now (and the market is bananas). At the last auction I saw a 2012 9C3 with spotlight (but better interior with 9C3 center console), 68K miles, black paint in "fair to poor" condition go for a winning bid of $13, 400 and that gets another 2% internet buyers fee added on. There was also a white 2013 9C1 with standard white paint and 87K miles that sold for a winning bid of $9000 and it's twin from 2012 same miles went for $6, 600.

Always enjoy the auction videos. After what you went through with the dod on your Tahoe I would stay away from those unless the price was right.

Even at $10k the PPV was well worth the price, They are scarce with low miles and great condition.

A clean running and driving 2013 Oreo (black and white) with 102k on the clock recently sold for $5.2k (inc. buyer's premium) at the Seattle auction. An all black 2015 with 118k was $7.6k.

I was really expecting $12k or more. Everything has been auctioning for full book "clean retail" or more lately
